Sandra has been the Owner + Creative Designer of Bliss Aveda Salon for 23 years, but her passion for leadership and creativity began generations ago. Inspired by a family of entrepreneurs, Sandra spent as much time as she could around those who worked with their hands. Sharing Saturday's for years beside her mother in the Salon she owned of 17 years, and working alongside culinary technicians like her father in the family restaurant, Sandra wanted to learn it all.
Education was always a priority; after graduating high school she set out to create her own path in the Beauty + Wellness field as an aesthetician and aromatherapist. While commuting to the GTA for training in an industry that was constantly evolving, Sandra was selected as a New Talent Artist for her educators Salon, and it was here that her work took shape as a complete approach to wellness. She continued to find love in learning, travelling from Toronto to New York, California, Dallas and Chicago networking with the industry's top professionals, and gathering a foundation that rooted Sandra in her creative journey.
Sandra completed her Hair Licensing at the top of the millennium, during an exciting decade in popular culture, working with founders from Eve Taylor of London, Toni & Guy, Vidal Sassoon and Aveda. Surrounded by beauty and confidence Sandra opened her heart and the doors to Bliss Salon in 2000. Since then, she has hosted numerous stylists behind the chair, constantly nurturing the artistic journey of her peers while simultaneously achieving personal bests, all for the love of hair.
Sandra believes in all of life’s beauty, and continues to nurture Bliss to be a salon that encourages the community she loves to look and feel its best. The love of family is who Sandra is and Bliss is what keeps her moving- the ability to create beauty and build relationships with her guests will always be her roots. For Sandra, healthy hair means a healthy mind, body and soul, and when we feel like the best version of ourselves, well that’s Bliss.
